HL2 and WoW on Dell 8600 ?

Does anyone have that type of computer and those games?
jsut want to make sure they work before I get them,
and I can't tell from the things on the back of the box because the centrino chip isnt there..

hl2 has a serious sound stutter problem that supposedly occurs on computers of all varieties. just be warned about that. maybe give us your specs and we can tell you whether it will run nicely.

Runs flawlessly on my i8600. The only stuttering I get is right after a level loading point.

I get about 45 fps running at 1280x800 with a mix of high and medium settings, or 90 fps at 740x420 (or whatever the smallest widescreen oiption is).
