Shacknews: What We Know About Diablo III

The gang over at Shacknews has a 4-page article that discusses everything we know about Diablo III at this point. There are some nice tid-bits in there that I was not aware of so be sure to check it out if you're stoked about D3.

-Drop in/drop out cooperative play over Battle.net.
-There will be a single realm/region for North America.
-The game can support about eight players in multiplayer, but currently plays better with around five. The maximum has not yet been decided upon.
-Battle.net will receive new upgrades, some of which will be seen in StarCraft II.
-Blizzard is looking at Battle.net features that will increase player accountability in order to cut down on annoying jerks.
-Blizzard is looking at integrating web community features, such as a WoW Armory-like website that would allow players to show off their characters outside of the game.

I'm hopeful that with their rehashing and apparent revamping of Battle.net, we won't have to pay for the privledge of playing this game (or Starcraft II at that), because it seems many of you would rather tell Blizzard to eat a bag of d*cks than pay a monthly subscription fee to enjoy your hack and slash fix.

Maybe they think the millions upon millions of people that pay for World of Warcraft will pay for another game like it. However, they said basically otherwise. Blizzard is also thankfully a successful company, and they can afford it. It's not like a WoW where there are REAL continuing costs for Blizzard (or am I wrong?).
