Chances are you've heard about the new RTS Tom Clancy game that will be hitting the PS3 and 360 soon. Well now is your chance to find out if this game is for you by signing up for the beta. You can sign up here.
There has also been some pretty bold statements coming from Ubisoft's content director, Julian Geright saying; "I don't think that games on console will be made the same after Endwar". News: Ubi: Games won't be the same after EndWar - ComputerAndVideoGames.com
One of the examples they are revealing is how to move around the maps on a console (which has been the biggest grudge about playing an RTS on a console). Quote: |
Using the Playstation Eye, the PS3 version of the game will allow players to wave their hands underneath the camera to navigate the game's overhead map. The feature is currently only being developed for the PS3 version, as the 360's Vision Camera lacks the stand to hold the camera vertically. Of course, like head tracking in Boom Blox, this somewhat ancillary feature might not make the final cut of the game.

| | | I tried hooking up a Wii (Mario Kart, Super Smash Brothers) and 360 (GTA IV) to my friends huge projector. The damn thing lagged so much with the 360, it was like a 3 second delay between controls and onscreen action. I ddin't notice much or at all with the Wii, for smash brothers at least, but my friend says there was a slight delay.
