| | | Rules **READ FIRST** Quote: |
Recently there has been an insane amount of thread crapping in this section, despite it being against the rules and I feel it is necessary to address the matter once more. The For Sale/Wanted section has become much more active than it used to be and the time for stricter rules has come, since only a few seem to follow them around here. If one wishes to post here in this section, it is expected of them to read the rules first, and claiming to not know them later on, after a rule has been broken, is not a valid excuse. If everyone sticks to these rules, the For Sale/Wanted forum will be a much better place and will thrive. Hopefuly, nobody will have to be given a short "vacation".
| Quote: Thread Crapping:
* Except as noted, thread crapping will not be tolerated. If you are not interested in buying or selling, or you have nothing positive to say, STAY OUT OF THE THREAD! If you think the asking price is too high, or you want to make a lowball offer, contact the seller via email or PM.
* Some reasons why "thread crapping" may be ok:
o If you are positive the person is a troll. If you're not sure but 'think' they are, PM us, or contact the Trollhunters.
o Making a newbie aware of the rules (but do so politely).
| Quote: Forum Rules: Multiple Threads -- Please keep no more than one thread of any type (FS, FT, WTB, etc.) active at the same time. For example, you might have a FS thread and a WTB thread. Posting more unfairly pushes other members' threads further down. Please be considerate of your fellow members.
* Please handle all transactions with common sense.
* Please avoid flaming or useless, bandwidth wasting posts.
* Please update your threads when you have sold your items or found what you wanted.
| Quote: Trading Rules: * You MUST display your profile with a valid email address.
* You MUST post a price for ALL FS deals and FS/FT deals.
* You cannot sell something you do not have in your immediate possession.
* If you ask for a dead part with the intent to defraud a company or individual, you will be banned immediately.
* No bootleg software distribution. Anyone who knowingly buys, sells, trades, or distributes bootlegged (Warez) software through this forum will be suspended or permanently banned at our discretion.
* No sales or trades of Academic or NFR (Not For Resale / Retail distribution) software. If you are caught selling or trading this type of software you will be suspended or permanently banned at our discretion.
* OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) software sales must include an appropriate piece of hardware to keep the sale legit. For example, an 80 GB hard drive, or an entire PC would be appropriate hardware with a copy of an OS. A pencil would not.
* No individual Microsoft CD or COA (Certificate Of Authenticity) sales. You must sell the software as it was originally packaged.
* No sales of "CD keys" without the original CD.
* No SPAM, NEF'ing, or TROLLing.
* No multi-level marketing schemes.
* No auction style posts (take it to eBay). This includes links to auctions on other sites too.
* No misleading thread titles. (nude pics, goats, etc.)
* No price or interest checks. (for those that want to bend the rules)
* No excessive bumping of your own thread. No more than once every 24 hours.
* No "contest or giveaway" threads.
* No coupon (code) sales.
* No alcohol, tobacco, firearm, or any weapons sales.
* No "Group Buys." If you do not own it, you can't sell or trade it.
* No "services" allowed. (ex. I can build xxx for you @ xxx each)
* No Pornographic (XXX) items.
* No DSS/DirecTV (H & HU) or DISH Network (S, Rom, etc.) cards, except when the card is a standard part of a complete, legal receiver system. This also includes hardware & software for enabling DSS/DISH emulation, which is not legal in the U.S.
* No "dealers" or vendors of any kind. If you acquire items in quantity (bulk sales) with the intent of offering them for resale, here, you are a dealer under this rule. In addition, you may not place URL's in your profile or signature that link to an offsite FS/T list.
Please Note: PayPal's terms of service now prohibit charging buyers a "service fee" or "service charge."
| Quote: Bumping Rules:
DO NOT unnessarily "BUMP" your own thread within a 24 hours time frame. The thread will be closed if this happens. Duplicate threads will also be deleted.
