Unless you're set on getting Nvidia, from all the benchmarks I've seen the HD4850 is a better deal for the price point. Outperforms an is cheaper than the 9800GTX+ without rebates too.

Well since all the new Nvidia cards work with it now, games can easily be implemented with it. Before game makers had to hope the game was good enough for people to go out and buy a separate card. Now that barrier has been taken down.
