    Light pollution is da debbil. Fortunately, a short drive from here will get pretty dark. I can't imagine trying it in NY city.

    I'm getting a refractor. From what I've read, a prime focus adapter often does not play nice with a reflector telescope.

    Considering getting a telescope and messing around with astrophotography. From what I'm reading, a refractor is the way to go... direct adapters to hook your DSLR right up to the telescope and you do...

    Your T1i came with the 55-250? Mine had the crappy 18-55 or whatever POS. I traded that junk in on my Sigma 15-70 2.8 lens and never looked back. I use my Canon 55-250 for macro stuff... seems to do...

    I dumped my 18-55 Canon for a really nice Sigma 17-70 f/2.8 lens. It's amazing. It's like going from an Escort to a Ferrari. You can't appreciate how bad that kit lens is until you use something...
