Not sure, but thats why I stay away from any widescreen laptop if I am gaming.

is it possible to get more possible resolutions on my windows xp display properties? I mean, i only have so many options. Recently i moved into a house with a 54 " HDTV and plugged my 8890 into it. Looks sweet, but i would like to have a better supported resolution that supports wide screen. something like 800 x 480 or something? if that worked what registry setting would i have to edit? Thanks.

i think it all depends on what video MODE youre running halflife in... The options as far as i can remember are DirectX, Software, and OpenGL...

I THINK that I was using HL in my Dell Latitude c640's native res - which was 1400x1050... Thats not a widescreen resolution anyway... its a 4:3 res.

I'm using OpenGL right now with this 8890... Havent tried any of the others, havent hosted a game yet... But i'm running at 1600x1200 and it loads a local server and gets in the game in about 6 seconds... i love this machine...
