    CS runs very slow

    Ok, i have a dell 600m and 1.4 gig PM, 512 ram, 64mb radeon 9000.

I can run games like wc3 and maxpayne2 and xiii2 fine, but when it comes to CS or NS (half life mods), i cannot play without sensing choppiness and lag. What is up?? Such an old game should be run smoothly, but instead it runs worse than all the new games i played!

It's probably your rates, I am assuming this is online play, right? try my rates are (inconsole): rate 8000, cl_cmdrate 50, cl_updaterate 50. Even though you have an nvidia card, put ati_npatch 0 and ati_subdiv 0, it will increase your fps a tad bit.

Also, make sure you have fps_max at 100.

Make sure you are playing on a server with ping under 90 too.

This is strange... some time ago I had a Sager 56xx Pentium 4 - 400 fsb 1.8GHz, with 512 mb ram, and a 7200 rpm 40gb hd, with a 64 mb ATI 9000, and I was getting 100 fps :dude:

i mean.. i was getting 72 fps, but when i rapidly look around it turns to 30, and osmetimes in battle it turns to 25. I use netgraph 3, and i see 72fps and #ms. The #ms fluctuates when i was in battle or looking around. Is this normal?
