    Original CS

    Is there still anyone here that plays CS or know if alot of people still play it. Im thinking of getting it on my laptop so i can play when I have some downtime at school.

    if you're refering to 1.6 the scene for it is easily three times as large as cs:source

    and no I dont play it anymore.

    Yeah, the CS 1.6 following is much larger than the source following. People are still playing 1.6 for a variety of reasons, tech restrictions, resistance to change, better competition payouts...

    Speaking of competition payouts...Whats the purse amount to for a winning CS team these days? I'm sure it varies depending on the tournie/sponsors, but what do the bigger ones pay for 1st, 2nd, 3rd place? Has sR won any money yet?!?

    I constantly see people complaining how 1.6 gameplay > Source gameplay, in terms of spraying and hitboxes (and related). so by that I guessed that it was still a popular game. considering it's in the top10 played games of the day on xfire.com most of the time is also another thing.

    if i had more cash i would prolly get it, but im poor and saving for BF2142 or another game to be released
