    Fps

    Does anyone no how many FPS i will be getting with a Nvidia GeForce 7900GS, i will have a dell 9150 w/intel pentium D 2.80GHZ, 4GB memory at 533 MHZ, and 320GB hardrive...will i have well over 100 FPS on Valve games like CS:S and HL2 etc. ???

    With that set-up, I'd guess you'd get about 200 FPS in the stress test, give or take depending on your settings.

    Your processor will most likely be a bottleneck in your system because HL2/CS:S is such a CPU intensive game, but you will probably be satisfied with the performance.

    would a intel pentium D 3.2GHZ be better? or what prosessor would be best? lol id probably have all settings on high.

    Why would you want to go over 100 FPS? 100 FPS is perfect. (I'd even settle for 70 FPS if I had to.)

    lol ok. i dont no much about theese video cards and i dont no how much FPS is good..... so thx

    I suppose technically anything over 40 is tolerable where FPS are concerned . Of course Higher is always better . I'd say you'll be plenty happy with that GPU . I'm running an old 6800 Ultra and still get decent FPS . :thumbup:

    yeah fps doesnt matter THAT much in css

    whats the rule? isnt anything over 40 fps is non chop? i forget but 100 is fine. and you'll be better than 100

    people say no one can tell between 60 and up, but then sweetness pwns them with his fps speech.
