    source sdk

    i was trying to make a map and i have done it before but my 3d view does not work at all it wont show wireframes texture or anything no matter what i set it to show can anyone help

    Go to view and scroll down to Center 3D views on selection and click on it then place your mouse over the 3D section, press "Z" and move around with the "wasd" keys. :banana:

    Wow, this is an old message. Sorry I missed it when it was new!

    looks like en!gma seems to have pinpointed the problem tho. Sometimes the camera can get lost out in the void around the map. Another easy way to solve the problem is to use the "camera" tool located on the left side of hammer's toolbar. From there, you can simply drag where you want the camera to be in one of the 2D views.

    Soure SDK only works when your connected to Steam Ghey. Is there any offline map making programs?

    you can get the SDK in offline mode. You just have to log out of steam while online, then all should be well next time you start up in offline mode.

    Yeah did that loaded SDK online played with it a bit. Closed everything down next day at work during some down time went to open it and was told that "this only works in online mode" Gonna re DL it and try again though.
