| | | dell xps for the loss ya so the weird crashing of my computer during css finally caused my system to die, even though the computer is two weeks old and cost me $1500...i had to reset the computer to its factory settings and now i have to download and install everything ...steam is retarded so it will take at least four hours for css to dl, thanks to school internet. If you have a xps, and you get graphics engine errors, call dell support, becuase it is an internal error that will cause your computer to lock up and cause errors in windows when you restart. |

| | | yeah, 'cuz NO computer company EVAR has any problems with it's laptop and desktop series. That's the ticket. That's like saying I shouldn't by anything. Silly hedgehog, Trix are for kidz. (or something to that affect)
Sorry about the problems bacon. I've had the XPS Gen 1 for about 2 years now, and it runs great, although much slower than your newer config, I would imagine. Get'r fixed and get back in the game! :smiles:

That's why if I ever get a laptop its gonna be a Falcon Northwest (a real gaming laptop)

| | | There is nothing special about falcon nw's laptops, unlike their systems they do not make the laptops. They do some software tweaks, rebadge and paint it and that is about it. The same is true for dell, alienware, and a whole slew of other gaming laptop "makers" for the most part they're getting the laptop from another company, clevo and sager come to mind, rebadging it, slapping a paint job on it and thats about it.

| | | all "gaming" rigs from companies like dell, alienware, abs, whatever arent going to be anything special. you can make it yourself cheeper and probably with less screwball crap than those companies will. they only thing special they do sometimes are overclock components for you. which you could easily do yourself.
that said, i have a dell cause i didnt have the time or money at the time i got my computer to build a really nice rig myself, and it runs fine because as soon as i got it i reformatted the drive with no dell crap. it aint a powerhouse, but it gets the job done. |
