You're a Marine now god damn it, act like one!

I'm glad I have a 360 now, but still to hear this about the PC version is very disappointing.

another issue with this that's popped up is if the game has full steam integration and requires the program (which I am in favor of), then it also kills second-hand sales and the used gaming market...

so, combined with an increase in price ($60), most likely paid DLC, no dedicated servers, a brand new matchmaking system which appears to be a step backwards, no demo or beta to test all of this out, and no chance to sell the game if you're not happy with it...

that's a tough sell for me personally...

was planning on cgetting it for 360 anyways.

players are so much worse on console, so its hilarious to run around and completely dominate people.

I think Activision is seeing all the money being made by people with small server farms who rent dedicated servers to groups like sR and figures they can cut out the middle man by simply charging the player up front for the "service". I really can't stand the idea of match making myself and I don't think I'll be purchasing any PC game that uses it for MP - the fee is laughable.

Edit: Also, why are people suckered into future content? I'm not paying $60 to buy a partial game that in a year or two will be "complete" through incremental content updates. I don't think that's cool or innovative, I think it's a way to continue to fund development without providing a complete product (see: Left 4 Dead). I like this method better: I give you my $60 and you give me the complete game.

this is why I rarely buy games up front anymore. Last one I think was Enemy Territory: Quake Wars. I liked it, but the online element just wasn't there. The last two bargains I bought on Steam have been great. The Witcher, and Civ 4. Both of them together were less than one brand new title, and had more than enough neutral reviews around to help me make the decision
