Anyone try the FarCry Demo yet?

Title pretty much says it all - I plan on trying it but havent had the patience to DL the 500 MB demo yet. The graphics on this game are very very good so I am interested how our machines handle them

Works great on the 8790...I like swimming around

The scenery is not as dense as I expected...probably because this is a Demo...But i'll be getting the full version sometime next week anyway

There are two demos. The second one is better, I think. ...and swayed my decision to buy the game asap. I didnt have to, but I turned the settings down and this game still looks great. so you can only win on this one graphics wise. as far as gameplay, its difficult enough to enjoy. (its worth the time to download the demo)

I d/l the first demo and it ran fine, despite the fact that I was using a 5200 FX .

The second demo was originally released only on a PCGamer mag Demo Disc. Its out there for download now. Just need to find a good site to get it.

There is info here about all far cry demos and patches

(you might need to sign up at this site to download)

With the quick search that I did, I didn't find an easy download site. but they are out there.

what is the res? Use 1024X768 at 32bit with Very High and you will be good to go...

Make sure no other app is running in the background...I even close explorer.exe just for the heck of it
