    Counter-Strike Demo

    Does anyone know how to turn demos into a windows media playable file? Demos for Counter-Strike (game recorded file into a file viewable on windows media player)

    Anyone who knows please post

    Well you see. when you type record in console it starts recording your gameplay , it saves as a .dat file and I want to convert it into a windows media playable file

    you cannot create movie that way as far as i know. You need to use a program called FRAPS to record and then you convert the file it makes into a compatible WMP file.

    the only problem with fraps, or any other similar program, for that matter, is that it MURDERS your frames per seconds.

    i am currently going to try using me laptop to record what i am playing on my desktop, as i would not have to worry about the performance hit.

    yes it does murder framerate...and forces you to playin 800x600 last i check but as far as i know its the only one that works well

    It took me a week but I figured it out. Its really easy, and its clear and crisp 1024 res

    I used a program called VIDEO Mach
