anyone play Raven Shield online with a Centrino based lappy?

I have a couple friends that are having problems playing online with their Dell 8600's...they can connect fine, but the game drastically slows down to the point where frag grenades hang in the air for about 5 seconds and it takes you a long, long time to reload. It doesn't drop frames or chop, it just slows down (thats the best I can explain it)

This problem only occurs when playing online, not in single player. 1 of the systems has a Radeon 9600/1.7/60gb 72k/512mb/WUXGA etc etc, the other one is identical except it has a GF Go 5xxx (not sure exact model) in it, and both do the exact same thing.

So I'm curious if anyone else with a Centrino machine plays this game online, or has tried it, and what their experience was. My i9100 plays the game fine, FYI.

I have tried it on my TravelMate 8003. Runs smoothyl for me, but I have to turn off detailed player shadows. Other than that, it runs mighty fine. This is 1.6Ghz Centrino / 4200RPM HD / 768MB RAM / 128MB 9700.
I think the big difference is the RAM. 512MB really is not enough for a smooth gaming experience.
