How low can my graphic chip go :p

I'm in the process of picking a laptop now. I expect that I will do some casual gaming on it, perferably under Linux.

Can someone tell me what would be the lowest graphic chip able to run the following games at a smooth rate (35+fps)? I can do without the high details. I expect that I will be running UT2004, NWN, FFXI, and Doom3.

    Can a Geforce FX 5200 work? 5600? 5650? Would a Geforce4 440 GO works at all?

    Can a MR9000 work? MR9200? or MR9600 (and above?)

All the games? or just some?

    Okay, how about this:

What are the quality and resolution setting I should use on the following cards to get a reasonable 30+fps on NWN, UT2004 , Final Fantasy XI and Doom 3?

    GeforceFX 5200GO

    Mobility Radeon 9200

It depends on the amount of video ram at your disposal.

However, Sandreas statement that only the 9600 and the 9700 will play them isnt completely true. A 5650 will also play those games.

why do you want to know the lowest graphic chip?

i would recommend (ecspecially for a laptop) to get the best chip you can, unless the company you are buying it from offers upgrades on their video cards (most manufactures don't but some like sager, alienware do)
