    FarCry Settings

    What FarCry settings do you guys suggest I use...see specs of my system in my sig. What settings do you guys have?

    I have a Dell I8600 with a Radeon 9600/128 and play at medium settings. It's very subjective and you would have to find someone with the exact system you have in order to be able to copy settings. I would try High settings with native resolution. If that is laggy/jumpy, decrease the res a notch and try again. If that does not work I would take res back to native and reduce to medium settings. Updated video drivers may also help. The graphics card will be your bottleneck with that system.

    I think the command for showing fps is \r_displayinfo 1 or something like that ... search these forums for far cry and you will find the exact command. Then you can see just how much a difference each tweak makes.

    I thought farcry had a test button for auto config?

    yeah but the current go5700 cards aren't supported by Far Cry, therefore it auto-sets all to low...

    Sorry, i didnt know that. My only experience has been on my PC as my AW is stuck in another phase............again.
