    Problems with Painkiller

Hey guys, I just installed Painkiller then afterward I defragged my computer. When I restarted I tried to click on the desktop shortcut for the game and this is what popped up "The application failed to initialize properly (0xc0000142) I uninstalled the game then reinstalled it and the darn pop up came up again. Anyone have similar problems? Any clues on how to solve it?

Whoa, I was just talking out of my ass, too. I myself, am waiting for the 1.2 patch. I've got not problems with the game, but some weapon damage stuff is being tweaked. Check out the PK forums. Good stuff.

I had to return Painkiller, I loved the single player, but the multi-player was not that great. Slow weapon switching, laggy (even on low ping servers). I would have to shoot about 3 meters infront of them with the stick launching thing. I still loved the XXJONSATANXX got CRUCIFIED BY fiction1337. Good times, but I returned it and got Max Payne 2 instead, which is stuck in my nonworking computer. Great. Have fun.

Dude, most of those problems were fixed with the 1.15 patch and more multiplayer fixes are in the 1.2 patch which is in testing. Painkiller is the official game of the CPL tourney coming up. I didn't mention the multiplayer fixes, 'cause they don't mean anything to me. I dread multiplayer anything.

Eh, I'd just download it ( illegally :uhoh: ) because I already have the CD key, and a I could get a CD crack if I really wanted it. I probably won't though.
