    Thanks!

Relieved that it doesn't take a gf6800 to run it well at 1024*768 with high details

So a radeon 9800XT does 50 fps at 1024*768 with medium details, should we expect an m11 to get about 25 fps?

Wow.... ATI's XT PE Card got smacked.... The fact that it is an unbiased review is cool.... An ATI will pick up again later with new drivers im sure... But all those people waiting a month of more th get the Radeon X800 XT, should consider (www.evga.com) Grab the Geforce 6800 GT and have more power than you'll ever need ... (The GT can outclock Ultra Speeds almost by default..... )

That's exactly what I'm thinking, att this point. I pre-ordered my ATI X800XT PE back on May 25 and the latest shipping date is now August 15!!! The more I read about the Nvidia 6800, the more it seems that it's the better card, especially with its incorporation of Pixel Shader 3.0. The price of the 6800GT is now down to $399 which beats the $468 that I was going to drop on the X800XT. Kinda seems obvious what I should do, huh?

I'll be honest, I'm an ATI Fan Boy too.. But I think currently...
Nvidia is winning... They at least have thier product on the market and available, it's actually faster and a better quality card in some respects to the X800's, and well, I am not preaching any kind of love for Nvidia, or ATI vs. Nvidia crap... But I think at the moment... the Geforce 6800 GT is the absolute best deal for the money.... (and it can OC' Like a Motha!)

I'm anxiously awaiting Doom 3, hoping it isn't a major let down.....

Me too! Everything I'm reading about D3 says it's exceeding expectations. Have you seen the latest gameplay and interview video from ID? It's sooooo yummy!! :mmm: I downloaded it from FilePlanet, yesterday.
