    Farcry-How do I get machete-better and\or get third-person mode in multiplayer?

    2 questions.
    1. I wanna be better with the machete. Sometimes I can hack someone up or they can hack me up before enough shots are fired to kill the hacker-upper. Any tips on good machete technique?

    2. I thought 3rd person mode (see your whole body) might help machete fighting. With the tweaks you're supposed to be able to use F1 between first-person (just see the weapon) and third person. I added tweaks to my Devmode.lua, and always start Farcry with the Devmode switch, but the tweaks (these and others) don't seem to take in multiplayer. Any clues?

And why bother? Ahhh, there's nothing more gratifying than hacking up someone with a big gun in their hand. The machete is pretty quick and deadly doing it, too.

I have not played Farcry but enabling third person in FPS multiplayer is just plain cheating (cept PlanetSide).
(eg. See around corners to ambush players).

Ahhh. The voice of reason, honesty, and integrity (cept PlanetSide, where it's OK). Probably why you can't enable cheats in MP, there'd be no limit and some folks would play in god mode all the time. Sure don't want people to get started down the path to a life of crime by using third person.

Yeah, 3rd person gives one a tremendous advantage and I wish they would remove it from PlanetSide too (There it is a _built-in_ feature). I s'pose it would not be cheating but rather exploiting if one could enable third person when one is not supposed too.

It ain't crime, it is unethical. You should have seen the damage iD caused when they released the quake1 source code. Ppl were moving around at mach3 and hitting ppl in the head constantly.

Just my reasoning, honesty and integrity (I like your pleonasms). I never meant to flame/hurt you.

Got it. Morrowwind has a built-in toggle to 3rd person, but I found it more difficult to fight in that mode.

I have seen the Emerald Buddha.
