Hey Law, just got my PS3!

Did the ol trade in the PS2 deal @ Gamestop where they take off $100 off the MSRP. Didn't have any 20gigs in stock and I was pissed so I got the 60gig for $499.

Anyway, don't have any games yet, but I rented COD3 and it seems OK. Framerate drops sometimes but everything looks alright, but nothing compared to my pc.

Anyway, since I have 60gigs left of space, I was thinking about installing windows. I can get on the "browser" that they have but its a pain in the ass to type without a keyboard.

Is there anything that I should be aware of when installing the OS (xp home)?

BTW, its on a 42" 720P Panasonic plasma. I set it to the "automatic" res which was apparently 1080i. Should I be setting it to 720P? That might explain why it only looked decent.

actually, depending on what game your playing would depend on the resolution. 720p is gonna get you less chop i'm for sure. don't install Home edition, ugh! Media center all the way.

I havent installed anything on the PS3 yet and don't plan to for a bit.

JC, there is a BIG problem right now between 720p native TVs that Don't support 1080i. THis is why youre picture isn't looking well. Manually select 720p and you will see a huge improvement. This is also present for TVs that don't support 720p, but support 1080i.
