Few PS3 Questions

I think it is inevitable, I'll most likely get a ps3 soon. Damn those HD movies !!!

Anywho, how's the motion detection in the controller? Does it work pretty well? I saw it work with the dragon game in a small clip on youtube. The dragon game isn't really my cup of tea, but have they also implemented it well with other games?

Does the ps3 come with a usb cable to use to charge the controller, or is that also sold separately?

How much are the arcade games with the PS Store. I must be tired ... I can't find it on the net at the moment. I know the Calling all Cars got good reviews. I wondered how much they are charging on average.

Does it come with a headset and such, or is that sold separately? I bought the 360 from someone, so I'm not sure off hand if that came w/ the headset or not. I believe it did.

I see that IGN says the revamped Tekken for the ps3 store is 20$. That is a bit on the high side for what I thought they would charge for an online downloadable game.

I do love the idea of having a blue-ray player though. After buying the 360's HD-DVD player, I'm hooked on HD movies. I just wish my local blockbuster had them in-store like they do online.

I pretty much convinced myself to go ahead and buy both the Wii and ps3 (already own the 360). Mainly the ps3 for the few exclusive titles they managed to hang on to that I will play as well as the blue-ray player. The Wii for the hope of a new mario kart and I like how they used the controller for Zelda, so I imagine Metroid and Mario will be good as well.

I'm just trying to decide which system to buy first. I'm leaning towards the ps3 first because of the HD movies. I keep reading articles trying to find something I'd actually play on it though. Not saying it's a bad system, but since I already own the 360, I've already tried the few multi-console games. I think if I did get the ps3, I would want to rent that off road racer. I wish I was a Virtua Fighter fan ... never could get into that fighter. It looks sweet as heck for the ps3 graphic wise.

I got excited about the new patch being able to upscale ps2 games. (or so they say -- haven't read any reviews of it since I think it is scheduled for May 25th) I was planning on busting into God of War 2 next week, and figured it'd be even better if it was upscaled w/ a lil prettier resolution/graphics.

Im not too fond of the SixAxiS stuff... its kinda cool. So far they've used it in small dosses.

Resistance Fall of Man: shake the controller to get a monster to stop bighting you

Call of Duty 3: Use it as a steering wheel to drive

Madden: Use it punch through a block or tackle

Lair isn't out yet.. due out this Sept

as for arcade games, they range from $5-$20 depending on what you want

This Fall the PS3 is really gonna start to see some cool features...

by the way, i updated the patch tonight.. WOW! God of War looks amazing in 1080p! no crappy shadows from composite or S-video... it really looks good

Damn you for telling me that ... hehe, j/k. Thanks for the info. While I don't quite have 1080p (720p/1080i), I'm sure it would be sweet. I think I definitely have to try it out.

I think all three systems are going to be kicking this holiday season. It should be a fun time for gamers. Now ... if only I can wait until after I get back from vacation in July to buy a ps3. *doubts he can*
