A big announcement by Sony is coming later this month. It is rumored that the announcement will unveil a new 40 GB PS3 model retailing for $399, and a price drop of the 80GB model. if you get a core,regular(which still plays the games the same way as the elite) and you can't get a ps3 for under $399.00.
I plan on buying a ps3,just finally got rid of my ps2.
Are the hard drives in the Ps3 removable?

Duek told me earlier, you can rather easily swap out the HD's on the PS3.
