MGS4 PS3 Bundle question?

Just talked with gamestop and gamecrazy -- gamestop isn't doing any preorders except of the collectors edition of mgs4... which the gamecrazy guy told me the developers CANCELED and doesn't know why gamestop still has it up on their page for preorders... LOL!? gamestop said they haven't heard anything yet from Sony on if they'll be doing any preorders. anyways.. the gamecrazy place on my way home only has 10 preorders so far.. so i'll just have to get in line... plop 50 bucks down... and in less than a month and a half I'll have me a glorious PS3!

Isn't amazon going to be getting a few to sell / pre-order around june? I'm sick of waiting.. I'm prolly just going to go the cheap way I guess.. I'll still be getting the mgs4 game though heh.

Um Fuzzy, you're gonna have to wait two months for that PS3. It comes out on June 12th.

Actually - here's a question:

How much HD space to typical PS3 games take up anyways? I'm trying to come up with a pro-con list for getting the bundle rather then just getting a 40 gig PS3 and buying a game that I want (with another controller and cables) or if the 80 gig PS3 is more than worth it.. even though I still have to buy another controller, cables and a game that I can play with my wife..! Also.. anybody here have any real experience with swapping out the HD on the PS3? I know getting to the drive is easy (removing a panel and some screws and thats it) but anything else to look into that?

For the most part backwards capability isn't a super-seller for me, as I only have a few PS1 games and NO ps2 games... and my two PS1's still work just fine.... So if the biggest difference is the size of the drive (and the game) then I may just look into getting another drive for the PS3 - IF that's even necessary. If the majority of the space is taken up because of other media or downloaded games... then 40 gig's may just be all that I need for some time anyways...


Just trying to figure out what my best bet is....
