Its going to use the Blu-ray disk as the media format and the Cell Processor is 3.2 Ghz. Its back compatible to Playstation (1). All the details are on the article.

I think Metal Gear Solid 4, GT5, a new GTA game, a new Devil May Cry are all confirmed.

I think it looks very promising. I could have posted on some other thread, but I thought we could just have a discussion on PS3...

You guys really like the controller? I think it looks terrible. I am a huge Xbox fan so this part will most likely sound biased, but I liked the Dual Shock so why change it that drastically? I mean they should have done like what Xbox did; all wireless controllers, refined shape (refined, not majorly changed), colors to match. I mean they got the colors down and they may be wireless controllers for all I know, but I think that the controllers look like skinny versions of the old N64 controllers with those things jutting out the bottom.

the ps3 is sweet..i cant wait till it comes out. Ive been a huge sony playstation fan and the xbox360 isn't going to change my mind

the fact that its backwards compatible is awesome as well.

has anyone noticed it has more horsepower than the xbox in a couple of areas?
Sony looks like it has transferred the spiderman font over to the ps3...still looks hot though.
The power feed in the back is now the 3 pronged kind, the same as a pc.
Double++ the power of a 6800ultra for half the price


Either way im still getting both....since the xbox is slated to come out 6 months before the ps3.
