    1. has to be thinner and lighter

    2. has to use downloadable games primarily, physical media secondarily

    3. has to have a music and movie store

    4. basically, it has to defeat the iPod and the DS at the same time

    5. has to integrate with the entire PSN like Win7Phone is doing with xbox


    tall order.

    I've never thought about until now but it does seem silly not to be able to load your games into flash and go in this day and age.

    games for PSP are much larger than for mobile phones and such, but much smaller than what we regularly download from Steam, so it really shouldn't be an issue to download them over wifi on the PSP.

    plus, storage capacity is def. doable with SSD (if that's what kdog was talking about)

    Yeah basically, I would think you could have some inexpensive sd type flash memory built in that could just hold the software music etc.

    I should have sold my old one when I had the chance... now I might as well buy a hundred more and make a decorative wall out of them.

    Ditto. Mine's on the end table right next to my bed, with about an inch of dust on it.
