I can't imagine no music... everytime I look back to an era of my life, there's always some sound track from that time I associate it to. There's always that song you hear that instantly takes you right back to a certain time or place. And when you find some new song or band that clicks, it's like finding a wallet full of money.

Music doesn't seem to move me either. I see people dedicate their lives, be it career or social, to music, and I just don't understand it. Clothing, all that crap, doesn't make sense. I mostly listen to Sports Radio in the car, and when someone in my car puts on music, I kind of tune it out. Now, that's not to say I don't listen to music at all... but when I'm home or alone, I never do.
    same boat

Music distracts me unless I am relaxing and specifically in the mood for music. I hear most of my new music in the car on the radio

Vega your music wouldn't be so distracting if your phonograph wasn't sitting right beside you.

I'll usually only listen to music in the car, or to have some non-droning background noise at work. I do enjoy the occasional concert, (Best three I've seen were ZZ Top, Itzak Perlman, and Sawyer Brown.) but it's not something I really think about.

    lolol.

I need music, in one way or another. I listen to it. I play some guitar whenever I can. The other day I bought a harmonica just because it was cheap and it's fun to see what kind of sounds you can pull out of it.

Like Denny I seem to associate certain songs and bands with periods of my life. Idk, it's weird, but I'll put on a song and it will remind me of last summer, or the summer before that, etc.

Music is life's escape. I don't care what anyone says, there has been some song or sound that has affected your life in some way, whether major or minor. Music enhances and changes feelings, provides entertainment and becomes a catalyst for innovation. No idea how some of you live without it.
