    The sR Car Thread

Here's a thread to talk about your cars, trucks, piles of junk, etc. We can talk about hotrodding our rides, discuss professional racing, or whatever.
Let's see some pictures of what's getting us from point A to point B.

    my first question:

I love the look of the old Mach1's. Were they good cars, is that a good alternate choice to a 60s 442?

Admit it Vincent, you really drive the car in the background.

Me... I have no car of my own, but on occasion I can drive a 06 Explorer Eddie Bauer and 07 CR-V.

It'd be a good choice for me... I love the 1969 Mach I. Hunter green with gold pinstripes. Like any of the Big Three, there's pretty much unlimited choices on how to build them. There's about every part now reproduced either by Ford or any number of aftermarket reproduction companies. You can go the purist route and bring one back to factory new condition... or like my tastes, build one however you want... like dropping in a modern fuel injected engine, an overdrive transmission, and an updated suspension. The performance and reliability of a new car and the great looks of vintage detroit iron.
(Yeah, the new Mustang looks like an old Mach and performs great, but it's really not the same as building your own)
