Well I don't know how into Major League Baseball all of you are, but I am a fanatic. I hope to go into journalism for it one day, and I would blog this, but ive decided just to make a discussion and news thread so everyone can join in who is a fan.
Ill be posting news and thoughts on teams and players as we head into the 2008 season, which should provide plenty to talk about both on the field and off.
So hopefully some of you out there are fans like me, and will contribute to this positively. I am also going to make a yahoo fantasy baseball league so if anyone is interested please pm me and let me know.
Also any suggestions on how to improve this would be greatly welcomed.

News, 2/21/08
- Ryan Howard of the Philadelphia Phillies became the first of six players to win his arbitration case, earning 10 million dollars for the 08 season compared with the Phillies offer of 7. The 2006 NL MVP is hoping to put up huge numbers to earn a lucrative long term deal.
- The season opening game in Japan between the Red Sox and Athletics has sold out.
- Gary Sheffield of the Detroit Tigers called his former agaen Scott Boras a bad person who unfairly tries to get money he doesnt deserve. Boras is notorious for squeezing money out of teams for high profile players who shouldnt be making as much as they do. His clientele includes Alex Rodriguez and Jason Varitek.
- It has been reported that Coco Crisp would request a trade from the Red Sox if he does not win the starting center field job over highly touted prospect Jacoby Ellsbury. Both are fan favorites.

| | | Manny got his contract in times of inflation. and Manny is one of the greatest all around hitters ever. Ortiz isnt near that in my opinion.
