First of the season... meaning first time it was warm enough and clear enough.

Just some thoughts on targets other than the Moon..M101 (Pinwheel Galaxy) in Ursa Major is a nice target this time of year if you have dark skies. Also, can't ever go wrong with M42 (Orion Nebula) in Orion after sunset. Saturn is also high and bright this time of year. If you get up early in the morning, you can try one of my favorites, the binary Albireo in Cygnus. The color contrast between the two stars is very striking... you'll just need enough magnification to split them.

WAY too much light pollution around here for any of that... Buffalo, Niagara Falls, Niagara Falls Canada, etc.

Take a trip somewhere where there isn't so much light pollution.

did you really just ask if Bo has his cwp?

he shot his name into the application form from 1000 yards... while on a Segway... One handed with his USP in .45ACP... While doing pushups AND eating his sandwich...

Nothing a nice drive could cure I've driven two hours on occasion to a dark sky site south of Kansas City. Fun times.

Give M42 a shot from where you are. You might be surprised.
