I see a good bit of resemblance with WoW graphics. Even if they're a little more polished and prettier, it still kinda feels like WoW visually. But I'm probably too stupid to tell what game looks like what so I guess I'll just keep my thoughts to myself.

No, they're not stupid because they have opinions; they're stupid because they're making all these statements and image modifications without understanding how the game even works. They see a minute of video showing off a couple areas and think the entire game is that way. The interview cleared up a lot of why they did what they did.
We have this current generation of games that all use some kind of grey-ish color scheme. A couple of these games, for example, are Gears of War and Unreal Tournament 3. A lot of more recent games have been on the dull side color-wise. I know a lot of game reviewers, comic writers (PA, for example), and people in general have all been bashing this style of art because of everything looks so plain and blah. So what do people do when they see a game that's colorful? They take the screenshots and make it dull and grey and barely visible. Diablo has always been on the colorful side. The monsters have always stood out, the colors were over the edge, the areas changed as you progressed to give variety.
If they really want to play a game that looks like the altered screenshots, they just need to turn their monitor brightness down, drop the colors a bunch, and maybe raise the contrast.
