    Italian Cruise Ship

Just spotted this on the BBC website, an apparent recording of the radio call between the captain of the wrecked ship and the Italian coastguard. The captain was ordered to get back on the ship...I didn't realise this but it sounds as if as soon as a captain gives an order to abandon ship, the command goes to the coastguard?

It wasn't Schettino's fault. He was drunk.

    oh my!

This morning's update - the ship is reported to have taken a very similar route in August 2011 which the company had approved and the captain would have known about the route.

Yes, I can't imagine how dis-orientating it would be to suddenly have your floor become your wall and have to walk along a wall to get out,,,and a night and then add very cold water.

Wow, that just looks so wrong seeing it on its side.
