I was banned from Karkand server, but I havn't been playing.

Hey, my name is BlitzRunner and I was banned from your server.

I haven't played for a month, not since August and I had been playing on your server a lot. I also had been in the sR vintrillo server a couple of times trying to get to know some of the guys. Maybe add sR to my name eventually and become part of this gaming community.

Anyway, I hadn't been playing and when I had left I was still on good terms with the server, namely, not banned. So today I finally got my privileges back and went to try to play on my favorite server. I couldn't wait to try out the next map. Anyway, I got there and there was 1 empty spot...wohoo!

But then a message came up that said I had been banned by a server admin. What the heck?

So, I am not sure what to do. You can check your server logs and you can see that I haven't done anything wrong unless someone has been on my account in my absence.

Anyway, I know a couple people that I have played with that are in sR who will probably vouch for my integrity of rule following on your servers.

Ok, please try to tell me whats happened.

Hey Blistz, you are not on our server banlist. It may be a punkbuster kick/ban since we use their master ban list. What does the ban message say exactly?

Hmm, this is rather wierd. After I tried your server the next server I tried to join was one that I was also banned from. But the message was different. When I joined yours it was, Banned from server by an admin. When I joined this server Punkbuster gave me a global ban! Now I can't play on any servers at all. So I though maybe someone had accused me of hacking and got me banned. Unfortunately none of the other profiles will work either. They all have the same Global Ban thing from punkbuster.

I think it might have something to do with my game version...

I bought it off a friend and it has worked fine until now. I don't know...

Oh well, thanks anyway, you can go ahead and remove this thread. I think I will have to buy a new copy of Battlefield 2...

Just a quick heads up. If you were banned by Punkbuster for hacking or something like that. Punkbuster will do a hardware ban. In which case you will by ban from games containing punkbuster. So buying a new CD key will not help.
