StrafeRight.com BF2 Server Rules and Guidelines

StrafeRight.com believes that clean, well-managed, and most importantly fun servers are absolutely vital, not just to our own community, but to the entire online gaming world as a whole. To that end, we uphold strict rules on all of our public gaming servers, what follows below are the guidelines set forth for all of the StrafeRight.com Battlefield 2 Servers.




StrafeRight Community Server Rules/Guidelines


Stats Padding

Stats padding of any form is not allowed on any of the StrafeRight servers. Violators will be immediately permabanned.

Teamkilling/Team Damage

Under no circumstances is intentional teamkilling acceptable. Players who violate this rule are subject to being kicked from the server and/or receiving a ban (temporary or permanent ban is at each of our admin's discretion). Intentional teamkilling/damage can include (but is not limited to) the following: killing your commander, destroying your team's assets, shooting teammates for their vehicle, intentionally damaging a teammates vehicle, killing a teammate out of spite.

Vehicle Whoring

Closely related to our teamkilling/damage policy, vehicle whoring is also against the StrafeRight server guidelines. Vehicle whoring is not the same player using the same vehicle over and over again, rather it is when an individual or squad goes to extreme lengths to ensure that they and only they can use the same vehicle. Examples include teamkilling for armor or planes, destroying teammates vehicles so that you can have them when the respawn, and having locked squads in transport vehicles. If a player is being a good teammate (i.e. being an engineer, using the tank, dying in it, then respawning back at base to get it again) then they have nothing to worry about, but if player(s) are maliciously trying to vehicle whore, then they are subject to a kick and/or ban.

Commanders

Commanders on the StrafeRight servers are expected to command, not lead an infantry charge, operate a piece of armor or pilot an aircraft. Players are subject to being kicked if they are found to be commanding while also actively engaged in combat. Furthermore, commanders are responsible for their actions, therefore if a commander helps any players take advantage of an exploit, the commander will be seen in the same light as the exploiter.

Cheating/Hacking/Exploiting

Any of the above actions (cheating/hacking/exploiting) are strictly forbidden on all StrafeRight servers. Players who commence in these activities will be immediately globally permabanned from all StrafeRight servers.

Racist and Violent Remarks

Absolutely, positively no racist or threatening remarks of any kind are allowed. There is no second chance on this, instant and permanent bans will be given out for anyone breaking this rule. It does not matter if the words are said in jest, or if they are written in anger, both will be treated in the same swift manner (permaban). This rule not only applies to in-game communication (both text and VoIP), but also player and squad names.

Game Communication (both text and VoIP)

Spamming either text or voice in-game is not allowed. This includes radio calls, advertising, playing music over your headset, or hearing you talk about how awesome your Aunt Edna's fruitcake is. Players should also take note of the policies regarding "Racism and Violent Remarks" above.

StrafeRight.com provides an excellent Public Ventrilo Server for the use of anyone in the StrafeRight community. Our server has channels for all of our games (BF2, BF2142, CSS, F.E.A.R., WoW, CoH/CoV), as well as featured lounges, including one for StrafeRightRadio. Please feel free to join this server, not only for improved game communication, but it is also the best way to immediately get in touch with a gaming administrator.

High Ping, Idle Players and Reserved Slots

An auto-kick feature is enabled for players who have a ping greater than 250, and also for players who have been idle for longer than five minutes. In addition, players may be kicked to make room for server administrators and regular players who use the StrafeRight ventrilo server. When this occurs, admins will try to kick only idle players, but if necessary they will move on to other determining factors (a low or negative score for example).

Overall Conduct

We ask that you approach this server as you would any public place with regards to your overall conduct. Imagine you're a guest in someone's home. And imagine that person is also a guest in your home. Use your better judgement and you'll do just fine.

The absolute best way to contact a BF2142 server admin is via our ventrilo server. This point cannot be stressed enough. Whether you need to report a teamkiller, exploiter, server glitch, etc, ventrilo is the best and fastest route to get an immediate response.
