Any Wii owners played Metroid Prime?

Anyone try out Prime on the Wii? I just wondered if you can use the pointing device for the aiming in the older Gamecube first person games? Also, have you played any other games like double dash and melee ... can you use the pointer or weird controls for those as well?

Nope you have to buy a gc controller or a classic controller for the vc games

ahh, cool. I was reading today that the Wii can play the gamecube games (disks), but I wasn't sure if the controller offered any of the cool features for games like Metroid Prime ... like using the pointer to look around in first person mode.

No, but there is a new Metroid coming out this year for Wii, and apparently the controls are the best at utilizing the Wii controls
