| Amazon.com: Gamecube Wavebird Wireless Controller Platinum: Video Games
Those = awesome. Just pop off the top on your Wii and plug the receivers in. You'll need batteries obviously, but wavebirds/any gamecube controllers are awesome for Super Smash Brothers. They are way better than the other control schemes.

| | | wavebirds suck, they lag and they break easily. Wired official GC controllers are the best way to go.
I already played the brawl (jap version) and I think it kinda sucks lol. I'll probably still get it since nobody is gonna be playing melee anymore in the competitive scene. |

| Blasphemy! My wavebirds work just fine. It doesn't suck, it's been balanced. Tiers might still exist, but probably not.

| LOL, tiers will always exist as long as there is a competitive community. The tiers may be more balanced, but that doesn't mean there won't be tiers. I don't think you understand what a tier is if you don't think one will exist. Yes wavebirds work fine, but they still lag more then the corded controllers, so I don't like them. Oh, Marth seems to have nerfed less relative to everyone else from the old game, which sort of makes him better. It's kinda funny. |

| | | I do understand what tiers are, but I guess that there won't be such a large gap. And, yea, they seem to love Marth for some reason. They cut my Shiek down to nothing!!! Her Fair and Uair are freaking useless now.

| | | People are loving Marth right now cause you can basically play him almost the same way as melee. He might not be as good once people get better at brawl, but then again he might still be just as good as in melee.
There's like almost no combos in brawl now, lol. You get hit back at even high percentages, basically making combos happen only when the other person screws up. That's kinda why I don't like brawl so much right now, but maybe things will be discovered and new ways to combo will be found. I'm still holding out hope for that.
One thing they did buff sheik with was making the tilts weaker, so you can chain more of them together, though it's kinda useless since it doesn't really lead to anything that can kill now. Actually, shiek just has a hard time killing in general now, lol. It makes me kinda sad that I can't chain grab, then start tilting to fairs anymore for easy kills. |

| | 1. I've been using Wavebirds for a long time and I have never found them to lag or be unresponsive in any way, and have a house chock full of wireless devices: routers, phones, satellite boxes and god knows what else.
2. I was dissappointed that Brawl had so many changes, all of which seem to back-track from Melee to 64: slower movement, floatier jumping and falling, less opportunity to combo because of higher damage/flight-distance scaling.
3. Melee is currently the greatest game of all time, so I have no choice but to get Brawl regardless and hope that the changes work in its favor.
4. Pit
5. Sonic
6. Solid Snake
7. Isaac I'll take as much Isaac as I can get. |

| | no, flight-distance scaling should mean more combos. You have less combos because they screwed up the hitstun and reduced it too much.
Also, some people are more sensitive to lag then others. I'm just saying I can feel lag in Wavebirds. Anything wireless always has more lag then the wired version, and I can definitely feel it in most devices. Plus showing up to a smash bros tourney with a wavebird screams n00b |

I think I'm going to invest in wired controllers with extensions, though, because wavebirds are a pain with the Wii.
