When is the open beta of WoW start?

Sorry if this is redundant, but I was wondering when (if ever) the open beta for Wow will be available... considering the full game will be out soon, will they even bother?

Blizz just ended the closed beta and they're preparing for another stress test this week. they're going to use the CB testers to see if their servers are ready for Open Beta will work and to see how the latest patch affects things. So, OB will start within two weeks max, sign-ups in about a week. OB will last 2-3 weeks and the game will go gold sometime during open beta. WoW will hit shelves by Thanksgiving or early December. that's the best estimate I've got so far.

heh, you must not be addicted yet. I've been twiching like a NY crack head ever since the stress test, another month of waiting would be torture :saywhat:

im in CB and here is how i believe its gonna happen:

Us CB people will get into the stress test before anyone else, testing the new patch for bugs and stuff. after a week i am guessing they will open up more servers for the public, but we will be seperated from all the newbies coming in so we dont gank yall when you get in the way (we keep our chars for this, but we all get wiped after OB is over).

i think they are gonna let us in today to test out all the new stuff (pally talents, honor system, etc), but im not sure it could be a while.

if you're a fileplanet subscriber or a CB tester you can get into the stress test RIGHT NOW. This is a different client from the CB and first stress test so everyone has to dl the big ole ~3G file. According to Blizz this will last 5-7 days and then the open beta will start immediately. Everyone will be able to get in the open beta for free. You just have to wait until Blizz hosts the download from wow.com or you can get it from fileplanet for free. There are a limited number of open beta slots (10k? 50k? eleventy billion? who knows ...) so be ready to sign-up quick!

Okay. Seriously. I just downloaded the Open beta game client..and argh. The intro movie gives me the shivers. It's amazing. No game has ever done that to me since Baldur's Gate I came out 1998. I seriously want this game, and i'm going to pre-order it from Amazon if i have to :P
