| | Can it have something to do with this : (is the game really THAT good ???) : Quote:
We have just been informed about an interesting article that was posted today
on FileFront. It appears that Blizzard is no longer releasing new copies of
World of Warcraft until they get their server load issues under control.
Here is a snippet from their artcile:
If you do not already have a subscription to World of Warcraft, it might be a
while until you are able to get one. To say the least, the "test run" they
mentioned in their January 10th press release has not been going so well.
"We haven’t requested that any retailers pull the games they already have off
their shelves," Gil Shif, public relations representative, said. "We're just
being careful not to release additional copies to be sold until we feel the
game servers can support additional players."
Blizzard declined to comment on how long it would be until more copies of
World of Warcraft would be shipped to retail stores.
Some rumors had been circulating that Blizzard had pulled copies of World of
Warcraft currently on sale from the shelves of video game retailers across
the country, specifically Best Buy, to limit subscription growth. As for now,
large retail chains such as Best Buy and Walmart currently do not have any
copies of the game available. Even Blizzard's official on-line store
currently says that they are out of stock.

| | | I would be very careful though when buying WoW off Ebay because the key is very special and if they already used the key then it is no good to you. And they may not even give you the key. You can install the game but to create an account you need the key so be careful before you decide to buy it off of ebay. Great game though I LOVE IT! |

| | | Yea, Wal-Mart is where I usually shop for most of my games. Unless I pre-order from the ebgames a half hour away, or want to shop the used games section, I usually hit wal-mart first. Like Val said, they usually have a good amount of copies of the games as well. |

| | | good thing wow isn't at all an inspired or highly innovative mmorpg ... because if it was I might be angry about this.
Than again, there is much much worse out there, like City of Heroes.

| | | Nobody here has WoW - BBY is sold out, WalMart doesn't have it, and acts like you're insane for wanting it. CompUSA also is sold out. We don't have that many places to get it here, so we're shafted from the get go...
