| My Review of Guitar Hero 3
A game solely based on playing a guitar, how fun could it be? You would be surprised at just how addicting this game is.When I first played the game i was probably the biggest nub there is. I was pretty bad on easy. But as I went along through the songs I got better and better. Im still not as great as some of the the vids on youtube (just type in gh3, you will see em.) but im getting there. The key is once you beat the game on a certain difficulty move to the next level and try again.
The is a pretty wide variety of songs in this game, from the hardcore make your fingers bleed, to the soft mellow slow ride. Also if you own the game for a newer system there is downloadable songs. While this game is very addicting, it can also be frustrating as hell. Kinda like a real guitar. Also along with the extra songs, there are new guitars, finishes, clothes, characters, and videos. You will be able to buy them in the in game shop. With what? Well with money you earn in the game, playing gigs.
Lets move on two multiplayer, wait multiplayer? how do two people play one guitar in a song? Haha well they dont, most bands have more than one guitarists. So you each get to pick what you want to be, such as rhythm or lead. Then you go through the song. Great thing is each person can choose there own difficulty, bad thing is you both have to do good on the song or your gonna fail. How does one play with two people and one guitar you say? Well you dont, you can either buy another guitar or use a controller. A controller is easy enough to use, not as fun, but it gets the job done. You can also battle someone else, which makes for a great time.
When you go live with the game its kinda interesting. I only got to play it for a few minutes. I faced some guy who put it on expert. Needless to say I lost miserably, thats the last time I played it live.
So in conclusion, is playing gh3 gonna make you the next Jimi Hendrix? No of course not. But its is a fun game, that requires alot of hand-eye coordination. So if you always wanted to be a rock star, pick up this game and have some fun.
