a bit complex but I can tell you a short story of how I set up mine, before I got deals through microsoft's expertzone, and got a wireless adaptor for free...
The wireless adaptor costs like 100 dollars, and who want's to pay that?!?!? :thumbdown So I was using my laptop as a two thousand dollar wireless adaptor, pretty bad but hey it works. :o I had my laptop using the wireless feed as it's primary source of connection and used the Network wizzard to share the internet source to "other computers" through the LAN card/port. And then simply connects the laptop to the xbox with the standard CAT 5 cable. Do I recomend this method? No not really because you will lose all ability to use your laptop's internet as xbox live hogs it all. The chances of your xbox losing internet is rather high because if your compter goes to standby or just restarts you're in trouble. And if you use your computer to acess anything on the internet you'll see an immediate effect.
But in the end I did this for almost a year, until I got a Wireless Adaptor for free from Microsoft as part of their rewards program.
