| I've heard nothing of the sort. It shouldn't make much difference. If it works in Xbox games and in the dashboard it should be fine.
Certain controllers may mess up if they are not fully compatible with the Xbox (wired or wireless, there are two different modes for Xbox controllers, and cheaper controllers may not be compatible with both.)
